The Beatles “White Album” has sold over 19 million copies worldwide and when a White Album with serial number 0000005 reached eBay, it had to be considered a “rare” item. The 1968 mono copy of the White Album featured the lowest serial number in circulation, after the numbered copies 0000001 to 0000004 were already grabbed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Now, this much coveted mint condition copy has been sold to some anonymous bidder for a cool £19,201 (nearly US $30,000). Cover, labels, poster, audio and inner sleeves of the album were ranked from Very Good Plus to Near Mint. Record Collector magazine has ranked the rare copy No. 1 in its list of the 200 Rarest Records of All Time.
