Michelle Obama sports Panchigul's designs at the Convention
While other first ladies and political women often sport the likes of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, Michelle Obama has taken to the rising stars. Michelle Obama wore a printed Thakoon dress adorned with three Erickson Beamon broaches as her husband delivered his nomination acceptance speech.
It's a big coup for Thakoon Panchigul, who was recently approved for membership in the CFDA.
"I am incredibly honored that Michelle Obama chose to wear a dress from my collection on such a historical night for her, her family and this country," the designer said.
